Listed below are all the terms used across the wiki and their definition in alphabetical order.
Beatspace is a term osu! used for the time one beat lasts at a given BPM in milliseconds. It is also called Beat Interval and Beat Length. Another, less branded name for it is Milliseconds per beat (ms/beat, often abbreviated mspb). It is calculated like so:
Beatspace = 60000 / BPM
You can convert back using the same formula:
BPM = 60000 / Beatspace
Hitobjects in the .osu file follow the following format:
x axis, y axis, start time, note type, hitsound, (end time (if applicable)):sampleset:additions:customset:volume
SV effect wherein the notes are as far apart as when normally scrolling, however the notes teleport to the receptor after the previous notes are hit instead of a gradual scroll.
Value from receptors to the other side of the screen. Usually represented by a percentage.
The BPM required to move a note from anywhere on the playing field to the receptors, placed 1ms before the note. Calculated by:
Total Scroll-Speed Independent Distance / (1/Screen Height Percentage)

A 1ms red line that is near infinite in BPM.
The BPM needed to teleport a note from one side of the screen to another in just 1ms. Calculated by:
